Kitsap Saddle Club: Part II

Continuing from yesterday's post, I'm trying to add the last of my photography from yesterday. You'll have to forgive me if I don't quite get everything uploaded tonight-- a camping trip is in store for the next few days, and my computer is having some work done while I'm gone. Don't worry though, your images will be posted as soon as possible. :)

Back it up!
Calm, cool, and collected through the L.

Over the pole, and between colorful barrels? No problem!

Good job!

I absolutely love her shirt! The horse's stance is beautiful, too, along with pretty much everything else about it. xD Can you tell I love horses yet?

Walking calmly... the one thing I never fully mastered with my old arab.

Very smooth! Even eager! 10 points for this guy!

Sizing up the competition, perhaps?

Trot right over the pole! :)

Slow to a walk...

Puzzling over her score?

Beautiful movement... absolutely breathtaking.

Woahhh!

Taking a well-deserved rest!

This way now!

Om nom nom.... Who doesn't enjoy grazing?

So extended in the front!

Every good horseman (or woman) knows the real goal of a picture is to showcase the horse.
(Although it's important for the rider to look her (or his) best, too!)

Sepia toned....

Warm up... every bit as important as the actual class.

Helping out others is always kind. :)

Cantering!

Some horses have an amazing canter.

Leg wraps....

Grazing before a show... maybe it calms the nerves? :P

So tired....

*yawn*
All this show stuff is old hat to me.

But not to this horse, ready to go!

Ariat boots in weaved stirrups, leather chaps with spurs... reminds me of a country song.

Vibrant colors are <3. This horse (and rider) looked amazing in this shade of blue!

Waiting for a cue!

My least favorite part of showing, generally speaking. I hate how much time it takes to do that with the mane! Also, three year olds tend to get bored with standing still while you work their mane.

The horses get as eager as us riders do!

Ears can show a careful listener from an unhappy horse.

Ready to take on the world!

Nice trot!

Ready for the bridge?

Over the poles, happy as a lark!

And ready for the next challenge.

Not even changing leads could dampen this horse's mood.

Ready to be done with practice! Let's go to the real thing!

Please, Mom?

Her wish was granted!

The canter lean was great!

Riding crop... some need it, some don't.

And some just need reminding.

They'll survive the big, scary, loud, mailbox. ;)

Looking for a cue!

Happily obeying horses make for happy riders.

Sidepassing...

All the horses deserved special appreciation after their hard work.

Don't you love this horse's canter?

Nice headset!

I love the tail. Period.

Which way are we going, again?

Yes! Cantering!

How gorgeous is this?
Not quite all the images, but all I'm going to be able to post for tonight. I'm off to pack my bags for the San Juan Islands! See you next week!
